This song would be higher on my list, but the instrumental of this song doesn’t flow all that good, but the meaning is powerful in so many ways no pun intended.

The secondary roles which consist of women have a major role in the film, showing they can partake in battles of their homeland just like men. Talks about how strong women overall are, especially within the film. Sang by Khalid, this track has so much meaning behind it. Overall a decent track, an okay addition to the album, a little too much though. This song suits the album well as it relates to the main antagonist of the film, Erik Killmonger, but lyrically it’s extensively repetitive, and sometimes too much of the same thing can bore you. The instrumental of this track has been extremely well edited together. This just isn’t my cup of tea and it does not resonate well with the majority of the soundtrack.

The lyrics tie good with the flow of the song, I don’t feel like there’s purpose behind this song is the album is about a king. It’s a pretty decent party song if your trying to have a good time, but it doesn’t tie into the movie at all and contradicts it’s tone. The beat/instrumental of this song is good no doubt, but it’s not really necessary for this soundtrack and should’ve honestly been cut from this album entirely.ģGYDOxUVbcMĪnother song by Zacari, this track is just okay. This track doesn’t do a good job of doing so. Sang by Zacari, this track is overall not necessary for this type of album because it’s meant to hype you up for the next song on the album is “Redemption”. These are the greatest tracks of the Black Panther album, in my personal order.

Other songs serve their purpose but still do not have the feeling other tracks on the album have. This soundtrack ties into the movie which makes a lot of the songs unique in their own ways due to the symbolism they hold about the film. This is not an official album of Kendrick Lamar (being a various artist album), but still one of his greatest projects he has created so far in his career. With Black Panther officially in theaters, Top Dawg Entertainment released the official soundtrack for the movie, and it’s absolutely fantastic.
